IPCC Fourth Assessment Report (AR4): The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has released the final part of AR4 in Valencia, Spain, on 17 November 2007 (following earlier IPCC Working Groups contributions to the AR4). On October 12th the IPCC, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its "efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change" (together with former US Vice President Al Gore).
