Information and education on the current status and future viability of human life on earth is of vital importance. There is an urgent need to provide reliable information on this planet’s life support. The Education for Sustainability Global Media Network (EFS) project investigated three primary research questions, including development of management strategies for online digital learning networks, investigating environmental impact of use of technology in learning environments, and determining critical advantages and disadvantages of employing digital media in online learning networks in a global context.

One of the major results of this research is the assembly and synthesis of a sizable body of information on pedagogy and curriculum development for online education focuses specifically on sustainable education.
