Sustainability: Science, Practice, & Policy is a new peer-reviewed, open access journal that provides a platform for the dissemination of new practices and for dialog emerging out of the field of sustainability.

M.I.R.C.’ s aim is to substantially support, at the scientific, cultural and research levels, N.T.U.A. in connecting its activities with the homeland of its Founders and to promote the effective contribution of N.T.U.A. to the area’s Integrated Development. In this direction, M.I.R.C. closely co-operates with the local educational, research and cultural organisations of Epirus, with the Municipality of Metsovo, the University of Ioannina, the Cultural Association of Metsovites in Athens, the Epirus Egnatia Foundation etc.

Local Environment - The International Journal of Justice and Sustainability is a refereed journal which focuses on local environmental, justice and sustainability policy, politics and action. It is a forum for the examination, evaluation and discussion of the environmental, social and economic policies and strategies which will be needed in the move towards 'Just Sustainability' at local, national and global levels.

The Center originated in 1994 as an interdisciplinary research and service organization dedicated to the study of communication processes in environmental and health policy contexts. The mission of the Center is to enhance communication among citizen, industry, and government participants in environmental and health policy formation and implementation.
